This weekend has been most relaxing one in a while! The past 6 weeks have been very busy indeed, and I thought with this being the first post in a while due to this hectic, yet exciting term, I though that I would update you all with what I’ve been up to!
Firstly, being part of the Dance Society at university, means I have been very busy with the annual show, competition and frequent socials.
After months of weekly practice and dedication from the teachers and other dance members alike, it was time for the show. Here are a few pictures; dressed for ballet, the opening, and an on-stage shot:
The first social of the term was a ‘Tight and Bright’ social, where we were supporting the yearly Exec Election campaigns:
Two weeks after the show, and again after many more rehearsals, it was time for the Competition. The competition sees universities from all over the country attend, and this year year lasted 2 days, consisting of 2 days of dancing, performances by dancers in the industry and workshops, as well as a social and awards ceremony both nights:
The Burlesque charity social was next. My two friends, Charlotte and Kat, put on a charity night to raise money for the breast cancer campaign. The night was a Burlesque theme, so was a wonderful chance to get dressed up while raising money for an amazing cause:
Finally, to finish off the term, I had 3 deadlines in for the last Friday of term, and I was working on these alongside all of the other ongoing events throughout the term. I haven’t got any photographs of me working on these so you are going to have to use your imaginations to pictures piles of papers and books that I was working from, which is always a very stressful time of term. But, now all of that is over, I am at home over Easter. I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at home with family and friends, among lots of lay-ins and many cups of tea. Finally time to relax and catch up!
