As it happens today is Monday, but why do we feel the need to wait until now? How many times have you heard yourself say ‘I’ll do that on Monday’, ‘I’ll make that call tomorrow’ and ‘I’ll start eating healthily in the New Year’? Isn’t time to stop making excuses and start today- besides Monday isn’t everybody’s best day to start something that they aren’t motivated about, is it?!
We often do things to distract ourselves from doing the things we need to get done, or need to do in order to achieve an important goal to us, but if we keep ourselves ‘busy’ otherwise, then we feel that it’s not our fault when we put things off and simply ‘run out of time’. It’s time to stop making excuses. If you want to do something, do it! Not next week, not tomorrow, but today, now. When we do these things that often are a pain but worthwhile in the long run, we feel like a massive weight has been lifted! On top of that, treat yourself, if we are rewarded after a particular event, we are more likely to be motivated to achieve similar results next time.
So don’t wait until Monday, do it TODAY!
